Ash's Scizor is the first Pokémon that Ash caught during his training to defeat Team Rocket, and his ninety-ninth overall.

Personality

Scizor is a fast and powerful Pokémon that is always ready to battle whenever he is needed. Because of training for many months under Ash's care, he has a sense of honor and justice, and despises those who abuse their Pokémon. He also acts as a protector, much like Ash's other Pokémon and constantly trains and helps others become stronger. Upon evolving into a Scizor, he displayed more of his personality as being serious, calm, and focused in battle. When a Scyther, Ash used his speed in battle and now uses both speed and defense in battles with Scizor.

History

Ash caught Scizor as a Scyther in the Bug-Catching Contest in Return to Current!. Because he won the contest, Ash was allowed to keep Scyther.
